The Blue-Eyed Knights drop a great weapon for the beginning of the game, the claymore. This strength weapon requires a good amount of levels to use, but it is well worth it. It is also worth the inevitable grind for players who are seeking to use it. It does both slashing and piercing damage at a rate of 70 physical per hit and what it lacks in pure power, it more than makes up for in speed of attack. These daggers are for players who want to get in and out of combat and rely on their dex to help them overcome the damage disadvantage. Demon’s Souls has a lot of weapons with varying abilities and means of attack.

That game, remade for the PlayStation 4, takes place in a wide expanse of open wilderness. In the original, this wilderness is beautiful but a little barren. This may seem like a technical limitation, but it gives a powerful impression of the place as untouched but, somehow, already dead. Nothing roams through these lands but you and the colossi you’re going to kill. But the Bluepoint version is absolutely lush, an Eden of overgrowth in every direction. The plot of a sequel would have plenty of potential entry points, especially given the upcoming parallel universe we’re going to see in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Head down to find a body that you can loot to find a Blue-Eye Knight Helm. If you continue going up the slope, five more black phantom Dreglings will appear. What We Said About The Original Demon’s Souls

From console exclusives to third-party hits, the PS5’s library is full of great games. Dark Souls might enjoy all the attention, but Demon’s Souls’ sharp edges are the real secret sauce of the souls-like phenomenon. That depends on who you ask, but there were times when I was begging for Bluepoint to take the wheel and make this game its own. That’s hardly the only way that the power of next-gen gaming improves Demon’s Souls.

Fortunately, there’s a pretty clear indicator that shows when you’ve gone above 50% of your equip weight, which is where those chunky, sluggish rolls start. Level up your Endurance stat at the Maiden in Black if you want to equip heavier armor and weapons but still remain agile. After (most likely) dying at the hands of Vanguard, you will lose your “body form” and awaken in “soul form.” You’ll do so with half the health points you have in body form, which obviously makes things difficult. At the heart of most Souslike games is a trial and error component which rewards persistence and forces you to learn the language of every encounter in order to survive. It’s a better representation of the ways that the genre’s challenges so often come down to your ability to recognize and execute on an opportunity.

And considering how great the original Demon’s Souls was, the Demon’s Souls remake on PS5 is an easy recommendation. Imagine one of the best and most influential games ever made, but with significantly improved graphics, and that sums up the Demon’s Souls remake perfectly. It’s the PlayStation 5’s first must-have exclusive game, and it should leave fans very excited to see what developer Bluepoint Games decides to work on next.
